Day 1: Djerba – Dahar Mountains – Ksar Hallouf – Camp Dunes Insolites Start your adventure with an early departure from Djerba. Cross the historic Roman causeway before reaching the spectacular Dahar Mountains. Meet your local mountain guide and enjoy a 2-hour hike through rocky landscapes, ancient shepherds' trails, Berber villages and breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. Continue to the impressive Ksar Hallouf, one of the best preserved fortified granaries in southern Tunisia. Learn about Berber history and architecture before enjoying a traditional lunch of local specialties. In the afternoon, pass through Douz, the famous “gate to the Sahara”, then join the Dunes Insolites camp, located at the gates of the majestic Grand Erg Oriental, one of the largest seas of golden sand in the world. Settle into your Bedouin-style tent and admire a magnificent sunset over the Sahara. Taste a traditional mint tea, watch a demonstration of how to prepare Mella, bread baked in the sand, then enjoy an authentic Saharan dinner prepared over a wood fire. Enjoy folk music, a horse show and an evening around the campfire under a magnificent starry sky. Day 2: Discovery of the oases – Trek in the Grand Erg Oriental – Nomadic bivouac After breakfast, set off with your guide on a hike through the surrounding desert oases. Discover natural springs, desert vegetation, medicinal plants and the traditional knowledge of Saharan nomads. Return to camp for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, start an unforgettable adventure in the Grand Erg Oriental. Accompanied by experienced nomadic guides and camel drivers, walk through the golden dunes as far as the eye can see, while camels transport equipment and provisions. Join an isolated bivouac site and help set up the nomadic camp before admiring a spectacular sunset over the Sahara. Cook a traditional wood-fired dinner and spend the evening around the campfire under one of the purest night skies in the world. Night in a nomadic tent or directly under the stars. Day 3: Sahara – Matmata – Toujane – Djerba Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara and have breakfast in the heart of the desert. Then join the Dunes Insolites camp on foot with your guide and the camels. Take a shower to freshen up before heading back home. Continue to Matmata, famous for its underground Berber dwellings and Star Wars filming locations. Visit a traditional troglodyte house before heading to Toujane, one of the most picturesque mountain Berber villages in Tunisia. Enjoy a 1-hour guided hike through its traditional stone houses, narrow streets and panoramic viewpoints of the Dahar mountains. After a traditional lunch highlighting local Berber cuisine, return to Djerba with unforgettable memories of your trek in the Grand Erg Oriental and your Saharan adventure.

Siamo stati al camping dunes insolites una notte tramite un tour organizzato. L'esperienza al campo nel deserto è ricchissima di attività e momenti spettacolari. Un plauso va allo staff del campus gentilissimo e ben organizzato. Consigliatissimo!
Hallo zusammen, ich möchte mich zunächst bedanken für diese wundervollen zwei Tage. Wir wurden ganz typisch nach tunesischer Art fast pünktlich abgeholt und wurden ganz herzlich empfangen, bevor es losging. Auf dem Weg wurden wir mit ausreichend Pausen an Sehenswürdigkeiten vorbeigefahren und haben durch den Guide viel über Tunesien im ganzen erfahren. Beim Highlight, der Sahara hatten wir wirklich luxuriöse Zelte mit Klimaanlage und Bad, wobei da nur kaltes Wasser verfügbar war. AdOns wie die Quadtour und das Kamelreiten waren super, das Snowboardfahren war recht amüsant. Vor Ort gab es dann ein großes Dinner mit verschiedenen Shows. Nach dem Sonnenaufgang am nächsten Tag ging es dann weiter über die Salzseen, die große Moschee und auch hier gab es wieder ein Lunch(was leider etwas billig war und nicht dem Standart der restlichen Reise entsprach) bis wir dann abends wieder nach Hause gebracht wurden. Vielen Dank für die zwei Tage, würden wir im Nachhinein wieder so buchen. Daaaanke!
L'endroit est en plein désert ; il suffit de sortir de la tente pour se retrouver au milieu des dunes du Sahara. Nous sommes arrivés sans problème avec notre voiture de location, une petite voiture. Le personnel est très attentionné et serviable. Le prix comprend non seulement les repas et l'hébergement, mais aussi de petites expériences comme un spectacle musical avec de la musique en direct autour du feu, un thé sur les dunes pour admirer le coucher du soleil et une démonstration de préparation de pain berbère traditionnel. Il est également possible de réserver, moyennant un supplément, d'autres activités, comme des promenades en quad ou à dos de dromadaire dans le désert.
Endroit magique mais surtout un service impeccable, des gens de cœur, vraiment très soucieux que nous vivions une expérience parfaite et que tout nos besoins soient répondus! Un immense merci à Sami et à Lassad, ainsi qu’à tout le personnel accueillant et très chaleureux! Ils ont vraiment été aux petits soins avec moi et se sont assurés que mon séjour soit parfait! Magnifique séjour au milieu du désert. Le logement était magnifique, propre avec les essentiels. L’équipe est très proactive et fait preuve d’une grande gentillesse. La nourriture est excellente, et les animations proposées permettent une découverte des traditions (musique, spectacle et nourriture). Je recommande sans hésitation.
